Ghunsa Khola Hydroelectric Project, located in Nepal's Koshi Province Taplejung District is a Run-of-River scheme developed by RHL.
Granted a survey license by MoEWRI in 2016 and now holding a License for the Production of Electricity issued by the DoED, the project is strategically located for access through road networks and air travel. With ongoing road improvements, GKHEP boasts key components such as a diversion weir, headrace tunnel, and powerhouse cavern, equipped with modern hydromechanical and electromechanical tools. With a capacity of 77.5 MW and an annual energy production of more than 450 GWh, the project aims to contribute to the nation's economic and energy security.
Notably, environmental considerations align with approved SEIA standards, ensuring minimal environmental impacts.
